The Tottenham Hotspur defender could be heading for the exit door this summer.
Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier has been linked with a shock move to Bayern Munich, according to a report from Sky Sports, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The 28-year-old joined Tottenham from Burnley in the summer of 2015 for just £3.5 million, and he has gone on to make 114 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit.
Trippier, who earns £65,000 per week according to Spotrac, enjoyed a wonderful 2017/18 campaign, but his levels dropped dramatically last season. It seemed as though he suffered a long lasting hangover from the 2018 World Cup with England.
Tottenham currently have Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters as well as Trippier in the right-back department, so they can probably afford to let him go this summer.
The Sun report that Spurs want £25 million for the 28-year-old, and considering they bought him for just £3.5 million, that would have to be considered as excellent business from the north london outfit.
And there probably wouldn’t be too many Tottenham fans who would be sad to see the right-back leave this summer.
