Arsenal are reportedly on the brink of signing Lucas Torreira – and some Tottenham Hotspur fans are envious.
Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are putting rivalries to one side to acknowledge that their North London enemies Arsenal are on the brink of a very good signing.
Arsenal look to be closing in on a £26.4 million swoop for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira, according to The Guardian.
The Gunners are said to have offered around £4 million extra, in order to stave off competition from Napoli for the 22-year-old central midfielder.
Tottenham have been linked to similar players during the transfer window, amid doubts about Moussa Dembele’s long-term future at Spurs for instance.
And some of those on the white half of the North London divide reckon that Arsenal are about to pull off a serious coup.

Tottenham have been linked with Jack Grealish and although the young Aston Villa man is very decent, Torreira, for now, might be a level above.
For £26.4 million, Torreira may represent one of the best value signings of the summer if he proves to be anywhere near as talented as Spurs and Arsenal fans reckon he is.
