Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting on Twitter to the rumour that Arsenal have bid for one of their targets.
According to El Desmarque in Spain, the Gunners have made an attempt to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is strongly linked with a move to Tottenham.
The same publication claims that Spurs have already made a £36 million offer for the 22-year-old, who would prefer a loan move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side [Sky Sports].
If rumours are believed, the Gunners, who have no Champions League football to offer, have bid around £7 million more than their North London rivals.
And here’s how Lilywhites fans are reacting to the rumour:
Ceballos is the second player to be linked to both North London outfits in recent days after BBC Sport reported that Tottenham were planning to hijack Arsenal’s move for Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba.
Pochettino’s side definitely have the upper hand over their cross-city rivals; not strictly because they can offer Champions League football, but Spurs also have a lot more money in the coffers.
Still, offering £7 million more is a major show of intent by Arsenal – if true, of course – but time will tell where he winds up.
