Tottenham Hotspur won’t have big money to spend in the transfer market this summer, and yet they continue to be linked with new faces.
The global pandemic has hit Tottenham’s budget, and Jose Mourinho will now have to be clever in the transfer market in order to bolster the Spurs squad.
Loan deals could be very appealing, and one interesting name has been linked. The Mirror and The Sun both claim that Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Aaron Ramsey on loan.
Juventus allegedly want to axe Ramsey already, but a team paying up to sign him permanently seems unlikely right now. A loan deal may be more realistic, but that still seems difficult for Spurs.
Ramsey earns £400,000-a-week at Juventus, and Spurs could probably only pay a quarter of that in the current climate. Additionally, Spurs need a defensive midfielder more than a box-to-box or creative player like Ramsey.
The 29-year-old only joined Juve last summer. He has notched four goals and one assist in 24 games this season, and could already be on his way out of Turin.

A move to Spurs would be hugely controversial after 12 years with bitter rivals Arsenal. Ramsey even told the Daily Mail in 2018 that he would ‘never’ play for Tottenham.
Spurs subsequently think that the rumours are a joke, and can’t see any reason why Ramsey would change his mind and play for Tottenham next season.
Others think that Arsenal fans would ‘melt’ if Ramsey joined Spurs and enjoyed success there, and would sign him just to wind up the Gunners in some way.
