Tottenham fans lament Ross Barkley as one who got away.

Tottenham fans were stunned in January when their club stepped aside to allow Ross Barkley to join Chelsea for just £15 million.
It was a real bargain, although an injury hit first few months saw the disappointment quickly disappear.
Now after Barkley showed signs of getting back to his best, questions are beginning to resurface as to why Tottenham didn’t take a gamble on the midfielder.
It is 12 months since The Telegraph reported Mauricio Pochettino wanted to sign Barkley and pair him in midfield with Eric Dier.
Last night Tottenham fans got a glimpse of what could have been.

Barkley linked up effectively with Dier and worked well with Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
After a really difficult 18 months, Barkley looks like he is rediscovering his best form, and getting his confidence back.
Chelsea are the ones who will reap the benefits.
Tottenham fans are back to wishing they would have made the move…
