Uber are holding talks with Tottenham Hotspur about sponsoring naming rights on their new stadium, according to Squawka.
Spurs’ new ground is currently being built and is scheduled to open in 2018/19.
Uber are a taxi company which can be hailed via a smartphone, and claim via The Guardian, to have 30,000 people in London a week download their app.

Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal’s stadium, which opened in 2006, is sponsored by Emirates Airlines, but Spurs’ current ground is simply known as White Hart Lane.
Uber are not the only company in the mix to land the rights to Tottenham’s stadium, and no decision is imminent, but it has certainly become a talking point for supporters.

Opinion is split on the potential deal with Uber, although when stadium rights are sold off, it is hard to find a company which pleases everybody.
