Tottenham fans will be hoping that the 1-0 win over West Ham on Saturday can prove to be a turning point in Moussa Sissoko’s Spurs career, with many taking to social media to laud the midfielder’s display at the London Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men continued their superb run of domestic form as Erik Lamela scored the game’s only goal to leave Tottenham within two points of the Premier League summit.
Lamela’s goal came about after some brilliant work from Sissoko down West Ham’s left flank. The midfielder pulled off a wonderful turn to get some space and move the ball back onto his left foot. He then picked out Lamela’s superb run with an excellent cross to leave his teammate with a simple job.
The moment of brilliance was not an anomaly for Sissoko, who earned the plaudits from the fans when he was replaced in the latter stages of the win.

His work-rate was fantastic and his contribution to the victory was undeniable. And that is why several Spurs supporters believe that they have just witnessed his best performance since arriving at the club in 2016.
After an underwhelming spell with Tottenham up until the weekend, the fans remain unconvinced that he has turned the corner. But they have absolutely no problem admitting that he was excellent in the narrow win against the Hammers.
