Tottenham Hotspur have the advantage heading into the second-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash.

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to Moussa Sissoko’s performance during the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final with Chelsea on Tuesday, with many still in awe of the midfielder’s transformation.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have tentatively put one foot in the final, with Harry Kane’s first-half penalty helping Tottenham to a 1-0 victory at Wembley ahead of the second-leg later this month.
Both sides had their chances and the game would have certainly whetted the appetite for the clash at Stamford Bridge – with the winner going on to face Manchester City or Burton Albion in the final.
Sissoko’s performance was deemed by the Spurs supporters on social media to be one of the key reasons for the victory. The Frenchman was excellent in the middle of the park, providing so much energy.

The 29-year-old also got stuck in and helped prevent the likes of Ross Barkley from having too much of an impact on the game. And his display was lauded, as his stunning turnaround continues.
Had Spurs fans been told last season that Sissoko would establish himself as a key man in Tottenham’s midfield, they would have probably been extremely worried. But the £80,000-a-week star (via Spotrac) is proving to be an invaluable member of the squad this term, and now it could be fair to say that his performance in the second-leg could be crucial to Pochettino’s side’s hopes of going on and reaching the final.

Here is what the Tottenham supporters made of Sissoko’s display…
