Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to make a £40 million bid for Wilfried Zaha in the summer.

Tottenham fans have been reacting to reports recently coming out of the Daily Mail which suggested that Spurs are plotting a £40 million bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha in the summer.
Zaha has enjoyed an excellent season with the Eagles. The 25-year-old has been hugely influential for Roy Hodgson’s men and his form has been a key reason why they go into the final weeks of the season outside of the relegation zone after a truly dreadful start to the campaign.

However, Palace – who should also expect interest from Chelsea – are likely to want more for Zaha before they sell, so Spurs are probably going to have to increase their bid if they want to get a move done. But Tottenham fans are hoping that they do not improve their offer.

Zaha has undoubtedly been impressive for Palace this season, but has still only scored four goals and managed two assists in the top flight this term – and that is hardly the kind of form which suggests that he is going to be an improvement on what Mauricio Pochettino already has at his disposal.
While some Spurs fans would like to see the forward signed, it appears that the majority would rather see other targets pursued as they are not sure that Zaha is not going to be that worthwhile an addition. Riyad Mahrez is one name that has been mentioned by the Tottenham fans as a better option if Spurs are looking to strengthen in that area of the pitch.
