Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jack Roles struck a hat-trick for Tottenham’s under-23 team last night.
His three goals took his tally for the academy to 15 this season, a decent return from midfield.
Roles’ efforts led Spurs to a 3-1 win over Derby which had positive implications.
It meant Tottenham were not relegated from their under-23 division, and rivals West Ham were instead.
While one of Tottenham’s strongest academy performers this season, Roles’ future is unclear.
He is out of contract at the end of this season and Football London reported earlier this year that he is likely to leave.
The 20-year-old has not been involved in any of Mauricio Pochettino’s first team squads, while other younger players have been.
Roles’ goals could lead to Tottenham changing their mind. At least that’s what fans are hoping.
