Tottenham Hotspur fans were extremely impressed with Hugo Lloris’ display as Mauricio Pochettino’s side won at Molineux.
A number of Spurs fans have praised Hugo Lloris on Twitter after the goalkeeper produced an impressive performance to help Tottenham secure the three points at Wolves on Saturday.
Spurs appeared to be cruising towards the victory at Molineux, with Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura making the score 2-0 heading into the break before Harry Kane made the gap even bigger after half-time.
But Wolves would respond superbly and earned two penalties to set up a nervy few minutes. Mauricio Pochettino’s men would negotiate those final moments successfully, but they arguably have their goalkeeper to thank.
It has not been an easy time for Lloris whose form has been questioned on several occasions this term. But the World Cup winner seemed to impress a number of the fans as he made a string of fine stops during the early stages of the second-half.
He also helped ensure that Wolves would not complete the dramatic turnaround and deny Spurs the three points – and that prompted several supporters to laud the 31-year-old.
Some remain unconvinced that he will be able to recapture his best form, but few have had a problem praising him for the display he put in at Molineux on Saturday.
