Several Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to a tweet from Declan Rice showing the midfielder alongside Harry Kane on England duty, which was also posted by West Ham’s own account later on in the day.

While many international breaks are quickly forgotten by most football fans, this last week is likely to be one that will live long in Rice’s memory, with the youngster making his debut for the Three Lions and following that up with his first start for Gareth Southgate’s side.

To mark the occasion, Rice posted an emotional tweet showing two photos of the Hammers ace alongside Kane taken five years apart, with the latter coming in the dressing room after Monday’s win in Montenegro.

And some Spurs fans are hoping that it is not just during the international breaks that the two will be teammates in future, with many suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino should look at him in the summer.

The Daily Express reported last month that Tottenham are plotting a £35 million bid for Rice following his outstanding season with West Ham.

And it is clear by the reaction to the photos that Rice posted that plenty of Spurs supporters would love to see a move take place at the end of the campaign, and are perhaps hoping that Kane may have put in a good word for his club while speaking to the starlet during their time away with England.
