Davinson Sanchez endured a tough afternoon as Tottenham Hotspur missed out on winning the North London derby.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to slam Davinson Sanchez’s performance in the North London derby as Mauricio Pochettino’s men squandered a two-goal lead and ended up only taking home a point from the Emirates.
Spurs had taken a 2-0 lead during the first-half thanks to Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane. Alexandre Lacazette scored for Arsenal in stoppage-time before the break while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised with just under 20 minutes remaining.
It was a particularly disappointing day for the Colombian, who was selected at right-back with Jan Vertonghen coming back in alongside Toby Alderweireld at the heart of the defence. Interestingly, Serge Aurier was on the bench for the game.
The 23-year-old gave the ball away cheaply on a number of occasions and did not look comfortable in the role. Whoscored.com shows that he only completed 26 successful passes, and only Harry Kane and the two goalkeepers boasted a worse pass-completion rate of those who started the contest.

Sanchez’s performance has divided the large majority of the Tottenham supporters on social media, with some admitting to having a lot of sympathy for the youngster. Mauricio Pochettino has been criticised for playing Sanchez at right-back by several fans.
However, others have been a lot more critical of the defender. While he was playing in a different position, perhaps they feel that he should have still done better given that he would have had some idea of the job he needed to do.

Here is how some of the Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to Sanchez’s performance…
