Danny Rose has admitted that he could be on the way out of Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Danny Rose to Sky Sports over the weekend where he suggested that he could leave Tottenham this summer.
Rose enjoyed a fantastic campaign this past year, helping Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the final of the Champions League having previously been closer to both the periphery of the squad and seemingly, the exit.
But while the left-back seems to be a lot more settled now, it appears that he may have already made his final appearance for Tottenham as he admitted to Sky Sports that a move could be on the cards.
“It’s not about regular first-team football. I know my age and I know how the club’s run in terms of if you get to a certain age they might look to ship you on.
“It has been no secret that my name has been mentioned quite a few times in terms of players moving on and I’ll be just sitting tight over the next few weeks and just seeing what happens. Either way I’m prepared for whatever happens.”
Rose is known for being one of the most honest players in the Premier League, but it is still somewhat surprising that he has spoken so openly about a potential move away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
And the comments have left plenty of supporters on social media feeling fairly concerned or disappointed. He has arguably been one of Spurs’ best performers this past season and looks to be back towards his best after a difficult time.
Unsurprisingly therefore, most fans on Twitter have insisted that Spurs must not allow Rose to leave the club this summer as he still has a lot to give to Pochettino’s men and replacing him is going to be an incredibly difficult task.
