Tottenham loanee Clinton N’Jie is off the mark for Marseille.

Last week Clinton N’Jie missed a late chance to give Marseille a win over his former club Lyon.
This time around the Tottenham Hotspur loanee was more clinical, scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Nantes.
N’Jie coolly finished a pass laid on by former Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis, to score an equaliser to cancel out Emiliano Sala’s strike. Gomis went on to score the winner early in the second half.
N’Jie was loaned out by Tottenham in the summer after just one season, in which he failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
He was moved on as part of a deal to sign Georges-Kevin N’Koudou permanently, and while there is a chance he could play for Spurs again, the signs do not look good for him.

His contribution for Marseille last night will have helped the French side’s desire to sign him on a permanent basis, and there is a lot more to come from him.
The goal against Nantes was his first strike since the 2014/15 season, and a reminder of what he is capable of.
