Real Madrid are being linked with a move to send Luka Modric to Tottenham in a deal for Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be all too used to speculation concerning the future of Harry Kane, but the latest rumours of a possible move to Real Madrid are bizarre at best.
Spurs not only saw homegrown talent Kane smash 35 goals in 38 games in all competitions last season, but have seen him excel in front of goal this term as well.
His brace against Huddersfield Town before the international break means it’s now 11 goals in just nine games this season, whilst he just added two gaols in two games for England during the international break.

Now, Real Madrid are being linked with a huge move to sign Kane in the near future, with a report from Diario Gol in Spain claiming that Zinedine Zidane’s side could launch a stunning part-exchange deal.
It’s stated that Real Madrid want to drive the price down for Kane by offering players in exchange, with Karim Benzema, as well as ex-Tottenham duo Luka Modric and Gareth Bale mentioned as potential makeweights.
Midfielder Modric, 32, make his name with Tottenham following a 2008 move from Dinamo Zagreb in his native Croatia, becoming a fan favourite with over 150 appearances to his name, before moving on to Real Madrid in 2012.

In over five years with Real, Modric has cemented himself as one of the world’s classiest playmakers, whilst he has won La Liga once and the Champions League three times during his time in Madrid.
Rumours – even if bizarre ones at that – of a return to Spurs have unsurprisingly sparked a reaction from Spurs fans on Twitter, with some believing that Kane and his future are simply too valuable to give up in return for the ageing Modric.
Others believe that an offer involving Modric, Bale and Benzema is a ‘no brainer’, though generally feeling that it won’t happen due to the unrealistic nature of the deal and the complexity of swap deals.
