Tottenham reportedly had a bid turned down for the Manchester United forward.
Anthony Martial responded to transfer speculation in the best way possible yesterday by making a big impression for Manchester United.
Martial came off the bench against West Ham to score one goal and set up another as the Red Devils won 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Just 24 hours earlier it emerged Tottenham Hotspur had made a bid of £25 million to sign the Frenchman, according to French website RMC.
This is a fee United would consider derogatory, and one they flatly rejected.

Martial’s place in United’s first choice XI is still not assured though, having sat out their UEFA Super Cup defeat entirely last week, Spurs can’t be faulted for thinking he could be available – even if their valuation was clearly wrong.
He did not make the starting XI yesterday either, but after coming on as a substitute he made a big statement.

Martial struck a well taken goal after being put through by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, before setting up Paul Pogba for the game’s fourth.
Tottenham fans were largely impressed with Martial’s performance, although at present their chances of signing him appears more hopeful than realistic…
