Spurs have been linked with a £20million move for Rabiot.
Serge Aurier has got Tottenham Hotspur fans excited after posting a picture of himself alongside former teammate and reported Spurs target Adrien Rabiot on Instagram.
The Sun claim Spurs are willing to part with £20million to sign Rabiot before the end of the January transfer window, rather than waiting until the end of the season to land the France international on a free.
Rabiot is out of contract at the end of the season, and his impending availability has seen Spurs and Barcelona go head to head for his signature. Now, it seems as though a move to Spurs is more likely than Barca.
That is after Aurier posted a picture on Instagram of both players – having played alongside Rabiot at PSG – as speculation hots up before the January transfer window deadline on Thursday next week.
Spurs need a central midfielder after selling Mousa Dembele to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F for an £11million fee, while Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama have been out of action through injury of late.
Tottenham fans reacted excitedly to Aurier’s Instagram upload, with many dreaming of Rabiot in a Spurs shirt before the end of the January window.
