Fernando Llorente has struggled to impress since his summer move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente is reportedly allowed to leave the north London club this summer if Mauricio Pochettino’s side receive an offer they consider fair – and Spurs fans have pushed him towards the exit door.
The Telegraph claims 33-year-old Llorente will be allowed to depart “for the right price” after struggling to act as Harry Kane’s back-up to the required standard – something which Vincent Janssen also found difficult last season.
Former Juventus and Athletic Bilbao target man Llorente joined Spurs last summer for a fee of around £12million from Swansea City, but has since managed just five goals in all competitions – three of which were a hat-trick against Rochdale.
With Netherlands international Janssen set to return to the club in the summer, Llorente could be allowed to leave after failing to impress in the shadow of Harry Kane and for the right price, chairman Daniel Levy will sell up.
Tottenham fans have reacted in mixed response to the news, with all in agreement that the Spaniard needs to leave. However, some are willing to let him go for whatever the price, whereas some are concerned that he could leave for nothing.
One fan was overjoyed, though, posting on Twitter “time to start the car”.
