Spurs were linked with a ton of top players last summer. The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Samuel Umtiti, Ruben Dias and even Gareth Bale were linked with a move to the club but no deal materialised.
One deal that came really close to completion was for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala. The Independent claimed that Spurs would have secured his signature but issues with his image rights ruined the whole deal for them.

The Argentine, who was being pushed out last summer, is now one of the most integral parts of Juventus’ side. He showed the world exactly what he is capable of on Monday when his stunning strike in the 36th minute helped the Italian champions double their lead against Bologna.
Spurs fans saw the goal and couldn’t help but feel depressed about them missing out on Dybala last summer.

Here’s how a few Spurs fans reacted to Dybala’s stunning striker on Monday.
