The Daily Star have claimed that Tottenham have been offered a chance to sign Inter Milan’s Matias Vecino this summer.
The Uruguayan is no stranger to links with Jose Mourinho’s side. Vecino was included in talks in January in the deal that saw Christian Eriksen leave Tottenham for the San Siro.
No swap deal materialised six months ago but Tottenham could still find a way to sign Vecino in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The report claims that Arsenal and Everton are also interested in the Inter Milan midfielder but Spurs are the only team who have been contacted as of yet.
The report also reveals that Mourinho is an admirer of Vecino and is looking to add some steel to Tottenham’s midfield this summer.
Tottenham don’t necessarily need another midfielder. Mourinho already has Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Gedson Fernandes, Eric Dier and Oliver Skipp all capable of playing the centre of the park.

Unless some of them choose to leave Tottenham this summer, Mourinho has no real need for a another midfielder and most Spurs fans feel exactly the same.
Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter.
