The new Blackburn Rovers recruit spent two-and-a-half years at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to the news that one of their former players, Lewis Holtby, has returned to English football with Blackburn Rovers.
Holtby, who left Tottenham to join Hamburg SV four years ago, has signed a deal until June 2021 at Blackburn.
The 29-year-old – who was born and raised in Germany but has an Everton-supporting English father – was a free agent after leaving Hamburg at the end of last season and is said to have had interest from the Turkish giants, Besiktas, earlier this summer.
He only played 42 times in his two-and-a-half-year Tottenham spell, which included loans at Fulham and Hamburg.

But many of a Spurs persuasion have retained fond memories nonetheless.
This is what they are saying about Holtby’s move on Twitter…
Holtby began his career with Alemannia Aachen before moving onto Schalke 04 and then Tottenham.
The new Blackburn number 22 has three caps for Germany’s national team.
