Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered a vaguely-familiar name.
According to L’Equipe, Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson has been offered to Spurs for when the transfer window opens.
This isn’t the first time that Tottenham have been linked with the Frenchman.
Two years ago, when Mauricio Pochettino was head coach in North London, the then-Lilywhites boss is reported to have wanted the 25-year-old then too [France Football].
Obviously a move never materialised, but on this occasion it might and here’s how Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to the rumour:
Does Jose Mourinho need him? Probably not.
Sanson is a central midfielder and if Tanguy Ndombele stays at the club, and with Moussa Sissoko fit again, there doesn’t seem much need for somebody of his profile, if we’re honest.
Not to mention, Mourinho also has Harry Winks and Eric Dier as midfield options too and although the latter could and probably should leave, three established midfielders is more than enough.
