Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to John Achterberg’s comments to NOS suggesting that Liverpool have considered making a move for Michel Vorm to alleviate their goalkeeping problems.
The Reds are without Alisson, who sustained an injury in the opening day victory over Norwich City at Anfield. Adrian was the hero in Jurgen Klopp’s side’s UEFA Super Cup victory, but he made an error in the 2-1 win at Southampton at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Andy Lonergan has also penned a short-term contract on Merseyside. But he is yet to play in the Premier League during his career, and his most recent game-time in a competitive fixture came at League One level.
Achterberg told NOS that Vorm had been considered by the Reds. The Dutchman is a free agent having left Spurs at the end of last season.

Vorm spent five years at Tottenham, making 47 appearances in all competitions. Due to Hugo Lloris’ form, he managed to play just 13 times in the Premier League. And while he was a very good servant for Spurs, there did not seem to be too many supporters against the idea of Vorm being released this summer with Paulo Gazzaniga being promoted to number two.
The links with Liverpool have attracted a mixed response on social media, with some Spurs fans suggesting that he would be a decent addition for Klopp’s side given their current circumstances, while others have jokingly backed the 35-year-old to help Tottenham in the title race.

Here is how some of the Spurs supporters have reacted to Achterberg’s comments…
