Spurs face Manchester City on Monday night in the Premier League.

Jermaine Jenas arrives at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards at SSE Arena on October 21, 2018 in London, England.

Jermaine Jenas has claimed in his Daily Mail column on Sunday that both Tottenham Hotspur duo Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are not good enough – and Spurs fans agree with the former midfielder.

Lloris has been at fault on a number of occasions this season, the latest seeing the World Cup winner receiving his marching orders for an unnecessary last-man tackle against PSV Eindhoven.

Spurs were winning 2-1 and about to give themselves a chance of catching Barcelona and Inter Milan in Group B, but his red card saw Spurs come under pressure and PSV equalised – leaving Spurs’ chances of the knockout stage unlikely.

Lloris has also been sidelined with injury and fans are growing concerned that their club captain has hit his peak, and is now coming out the other side of that.

Meanwhile, Vorm has stepped in for Lloris this season on a number of occasions, with the Dutchman already making four appearances. In that time, he has failed to keep a clean sheet and conceded four goals.

Jenas urged Spurs to sign a goalkeeper: “Hugo Lloris has let Tottenham down too many times and club should look at bringing in another goalkeeper. Michel Vorm is not good enough as an understudy so Spurs need a new stopper”.

Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to Jenas’ comments, and agreed with their former midfielder ahead of what is one of Spurs’ biggest matches of the season against Premier League champions Manchester City on Monday night.
