Tottenham Hotspur forward Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is reportedly heading out on loan.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to comment after Sky Sports reported that Spurs have agreed to allow Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to head out on loan to Mainz for the coming campaign.
N’Koudou has endured an incredibly difficult spell since arriving in the Premier League for £11 million – fee reported by ESPN. He has appeared just nine times in the top flight for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and a loan spell at Burnley during the second-half of last season failed to capture the imagination.
However, there were some flashes of real quality from the 23-year-old in pre-season and some supporters may have perhaps been expecting Pochettino to consider offering the youngster a fresh chance, especially after such a frustrating window that has seen no new signings arrive.
But it appears that he will be playing his football elsewhere this year, with Sky Sports suggesting that Spurs have agreed a loan deal with Mainz. The report adds that N’Koudou is still weighing up his options, so it would appear that there is plenty of work to do before he heads to Germany.

It is also noted by the report that talks are ongoing regarding a potential permanent clause being inserted into the deal, which certainly suggests that Pochettino was hardly won over by the winger’s pre-season form.
The news has received a mixed reaction amongst Spurs fans, but the majority on social media appear to believe that it is a mistake to let him leave. They are not getting away that he could prove to be a first-team regular anytime soon, but many do not see the point in sanctioning a deal after such a quiet window, especially given that he could improve.

There are undoubtedly those however, who believe that loaning him out makes sense as they simply cannot see N’Koudou forcing his way into Pochettino’s plans at all.
Here is the best of the reaction to the reports…
