Florian Thauvin is the latest name to be reportedly interesting Spurs.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Marseille and former Newcastle United winger Florian Thauvin this summer – but Spurs fans are unsure over the exciting winger.
French publication RMC Sport claim Spurs are one of three European heavyweights after the 25-year-old, who is currently with Didier Deschamps’ France squad ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
It is believed that Spurs are set to do battle with German champions Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid who beat Thauvin’s Marseille in the Europa League final earlier this month.
Thauvin has set the Ligue 1 alight this season, scoring 22 goals in 35 league games. In all competitions, he has 26 goals and 18 assists for the French giants in what has been a superb campaign for Rudi Garcia’s side.
Spurs have prior connections with Marseille, signing Georges N’Koudou from the French side before selling Clinton N’Jie in the opposite direction. Now, it could be third-time lucky with Thauvin.
However, Spurs fans are unsure that a transfer for Thauvin could happen, while other are doubting whether he would be good enough with his time at Newcastle deemed a huge failure.
