Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Josh Onomah is reportedly interesting Bundesliga duo Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter.

The Sun claim both German sides want to land the playmaker, who is currently on loan at Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. However, the 21-year-old has struggled at Hillsborough.

He has managed just 11 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit, failing to score a goal in those matches. The chances of the England Under-21 international breaking into the Spurs side at the moment seems unlikely.

Though he has made 32 senior Spurs appearances, Onomah has failed to live up to his early potential and was pretty mediocre at Aston Villa during his season-long loan last season.

Josh Onomah of Aston Villa scores for Aston Villa during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Sunderland at Villa Park on November 20, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

The likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli remain above him in the pecking order, and that could see Spurs be inclined to sell their academy product as both Gladbach and Hoffenheim become interested.

Tottenham fans discussed the future of Onomah, who is renowned for his technical abilites and vision but can be quite frustrating at times. Some believe it is time for the player to leave, while others reckons he deserves more time to shine.
