Tottenham Hotspur found a superb holding midfielder last summer as they lured Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton – but there could still be space for another option.
Jose Mourinho doesn’t quite have the cover he wants behind Hojbjerg, meaning the Dane has been used heavily throughout the campaign.
Harry Winks isn’t trusted in that role, and Oliver Skipp could end up back on loan at Norwich City for another year next season, meaning a new name is being linked.
Jeunes Footeux report that Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen to sign Sander Berge this summer, with Sheffield United set for relegation.
The Norwegian is allegedly valued at round €26million (£22.3million), and with the Blades primed for the drop, he could make an immediate return to the top flight.
Berge has been linked with Spurs in the past, and the 23-year-old versatile skill set means he can offer cover for Hojbjerg or play alongside him.

The midfielder hasn’t played since December, and Spurs fans appear to be a little split on the idea of Berge arriving in North London.
Some think there is ‘no need’ for Berge because Spurs don’t need a midfielder with Skipp returning from Norwich this summer.
Others think that Berge would be a ‘brilliant’ capture to help Hojbjerg, seemingly seeing huge potential in the former Genk man.
