Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena.

Tottenham Hotspur look set to lose Christian Eriksen one way or another in 2020, and that means midfielders may well be linked with Spurs moving forward.
Eriksen is out of contract in 2020, meaning he will either leave for free when his deal expires, or Spurs will desperately attempt to sell him in January.
The Dane hasn’t been in great form this season, most likely due to the uncertainty over his future, but he will still leave a gap in the Spurs side in terms of creativity.
Now, SPORT report that Spurs want to sign Barcelona talent Carles Alena, but face some competition for the midfielder with Real Betis also keen.
Alena, 21, was once touted for stardom with Barca having come up through their famed La Masia academy, but has failed to nail down a first-team spot.
With just 21 league appearances to his name, Alena is in danger of becoming a case of unfulfilled potential, and may be wise to seek a move in 2020.

Mauricio Pochettino allegedly wants to lure the Spaniard to North London, and Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to share their reactions to the latest rumour.
Some believe that another midfielder isn’t exactly what Spurs need right now, even if he is a ‘baller’ and a ‘fantastic player’, with one fan keen to see him replacing Eriksen.
Others simply can’t see Alena wanting to join Spurs, suggesting that he’s a ‘great player’ and subsequently won’t fancy heading to a struggling Spurs side in January, even with more first-team football on offer.
