Tottenham Hotspur are through to the next round of the Europa League after beating Wolfsberger 4-0 on Wednesday night.

Spurs beat the Austrian side 4-1 last week, and merely had to finish off the job as they attempted to avoid a disastrous collapse.

Dele Alli opened the scoring with a stunning overhead kick, before he then crossed for Carlos Vinicius to head home the second.

Alli then teed up Gareth Bale for number three, and Vinicius added further gloss to the win by firing in number four late on.

That’s an 8-1 win for Spurs on aggregate, and Jose Mourinho will be delighted to get back to winning ways having lost to West Ham United on Sunday.

A number of players impressed against Wolfsberger, and one of them was Erik Lamela as the Argentinian took the game to the Austrians.

Lamela racked up seven completed dribbles, four shots, one shot on target, one key pass and two successful tackles in a strong all-round display.

The 28-year-old has been enjoying a run in the side of late, and fans took to Twitter to hail Lamela, branding him ‘different gravy’ and ‘excellent’.

Others felt he was ‘actually very good’ with some still not fully convinced by him, though they can acknowledge that he is ‘flying’ for Spurs right now.
