Spurs, who lost to Bournemouth last week, face Ajax in the Champions League and see out the Premier League season against Everton.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has banged the drum ahead of a crucial week for the club in which their Champions League hopes for this season and next will be put to the test.
On Wednesday night, Spurs will take on Ajax at the Johan Crujiff ArenA hoping to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and seal a place in the final, where Barcelona or Liverpool await.
On Sunday, the Premier League’s final fixture of the season takes place as Everton come to North London, with Spurs having lost their last two domestic games, and even though they are three points above Arsenal and with a better goal difference, there can be no room for complacency in their quest for the top four.
“We have ahead two finals against Ajax and Everton and it’s in our hands to be in a good position at the end of the season,” Pochettino told the official Spurs website. “No-one believed we’d be in this position in the last week of the competition.
“We are in a position where it depends on us to be in the (Champions League) final or not and then it depends on us to finish in the top four. It’s a massive week and that’s why we need to move on, try to recover (from the Bournemouth loss) as soon as possible and be ready again but whatever happens I am going to feel proud.”
