Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make it two wins out of two at their new stadium when they host Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Tottenham fans on Twitter ripped Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to shreds after he stated that the London club’s new stadium will make no ‘difference’ ahead of their Champions League tie on Tuesday evening.
As reported by Sky Sports, De Bruyne insisted that he ‘doesn’t care’ about Spurs’ new stadium and claimed that ‘everybody’ talks about it like it’s something ‘special’.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side officially opened their new stadium with a bang last Wednesday when they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the Premier League.
They will be looking to maintain that record when City visit for what is set to be a very tricky first leg Champions League encounter.
But it was De Bruyne’s comments that didn’t sit well with the White Hart Lane faithful, with some fans urging their fellow supporters to prove him wrong.
Others simply mocked the Belgium international because they claimed that he plays in front of empty seats every week as the supporter was referring to the Etihad.
Here is a selection of Tottenham fans on Twitter reacting to De Bruyne’s comments:
This will be the first of three meeting between the two clubs in the next 11 days. They will first meet in the Champions League on Tuesday night before the return leg takes place once again next Wednesday.
They will then face off in a crucial Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium, with Spurs hoping to secure Champions League football and the Manchester club vying for another Premier League title.
