The Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate has left Spurs to link up with the Spanish second tier side.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that Spurs academy graduate Samuel Shashoua has left the club to join Spanish second-tier side CD Tenerife.
On Friday, Tottenham announced that they had reached agreement with the Spanish Segunda Division side for the transfer of the 20-year-old attacking midfielder, whose Tottenham contract was set to expire next summer (Transfermarkt).
Shashoua, who had been at Tottenham for eight years, spent last season on loan in the Spanish third tier with Atletico Baleares and enjoyed a fruitful spell, scoring six goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, but at Spurs he failed to make a single senior first-team appearance, according to Transfermarkt.
As reported by Football London, the closest that he came to making a senior appearance for Spurs was when he took his place on the bench for a Premier League match at Leicester City a couple of seasons ago.
Here is what some Tottenham fans said on social media about Shashoua’s departure from the North London club:
Shashoua is the latest youngster to move on from the Tottenham Hotspur Arena’s academy after Anthony Georgiou, George Marsh and Jack Roles were all sent out on loan, while Marcus Edwards is rumoured to be moving to Italian side Udinese (Football London).
