Tottenham’s Harry Kane has refused to rule out the possibility of a move abroad, but Alan Shearer’s Premier League record represents a significant carrot.

Harry Kane has been in a rich vein of form of late, netting 11 goals for Tottenham Hotspur in September – as well as netting for England.
And Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time record goalscorer, appears to be worried.
The former Newcastle United captain has recently taken to tweeting with the hashtag “#hescatchingme”, with Kane moving onto 84 top-flight goals on Saturday.

But a move abroad – that would halt his Premier League progress – has been mooted for Kane and the Spurs man refused to rule the possibility out this week.
“I would never say no or yes. You’d not rule out anything,” he said on the prospect of joining a club like Real Madrid, per FourFourTwo.

The good news for Tottenham is that Kane must surely be motivated by catching Shearer, the greatest English centre forward of his life time.
Shearer suffered numerous serious injuries to limit his scoring to 260 Premier League strikes, but it would still take Kane the majority of his career to touch that tally.
Such a target could drive both the England international and his Spurs team-mates on, keeping him in London and potentially inspiring success.
