Tottenham supporters on Twitter have seen the funny side to Piers Morgan being forced to wear a Spurs shirt following Arsenal’s quarter-final Carabao Cup defeat to their neighbours on Wednesday night.

Sky Sports reported that the Good Morning Britain presenter, who is an Arsenal season ticket holder, was forced to wear the shirt of his bitter rivals after losing a bet with Peter Crouch.

Morgan was set to conduct the semi-final draw of the League Cup, along with Crouch, following the conclusion of the north London derby – the loser of the bet had to wear the shirt of their rivals live on Sky Sports.

Unfortunately for Morgan, Mauricio Pochettino’s side ran out as comfortable 2-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium, with Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli netting the goals for the away side.

Earlier this month, in the Premier League, the Gunners had inflicted an impressive 4-2 defeat on Spurs but they were unable to repeat that performance in the cup competition.

Both Morgan and Crouch ended up pitting Tottenham against Chelsea in the draw, with the two-legged semi-final set to take place next month.

As expected, Spurs supporters on Twitter couldn’t help but dwell in Morgan’s misery as some stated that he ‘never looked so good’. Another fan jokingly stated that Morgan was ‘one of their own’. Others simply laughed as he described wearing Tottenham’s shirt as ‘hell’.
