Tottenham fans were delighted to see Dejan Lovren have a tricky night for Liverpool in Rome.
Dejan Lovren incurred the wrath of Tottenham Hotspur supporters this week by taking another dig at striker Harry Kane.
Lovren’s comments saw Spurs legend Graham Roberts hit back at him, and last night the defender was in action against Roma in the Champions League.
The Croatian had a tough night as Liverpool shipped four goals, but they netted two themselves and it was enough to see the Reds book a place in the final, winning 7-6 on aggregate.
Tottenham fans were quick to hit out at Lovren’s performance, criticising his shaky defending which led to an own goal from teammate James Milner for Roma’s first.
Lovren’s defending was certainly shaky but he had some good moments as well, making a crucial clearance after Loris Karius spilled a shot in the second half.
He will be smiling this morning despite his struggles as Liverpool won, but a tougher challenge awaits.
In the final he will have to face Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo, and must step up his game if he is going to earn a winner’s medal.
