Tottenham Hotspur fans were left stunned on Twitter after Harry Redknapp recently claimed that Spurs have a squad that can match Liverpool and Manchester City’s.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City have been dominant in England’s top-flight for the last two seasons, with the argument that Spurs have been the third-best team during that time, but they are beginning to decline.

Nonetheless, with all this heat surrounding Mauricio Pochettino, Redknapp claimed that the club won’t sack the Argentine, and that Spurs’ squad is as good as Liverpool’s and Manchester City’s, as quoted by The Daily Mail.

Whilst it could be argued that Spurs’ strongest starting XI could match many teams in Europe, they have seemingly lost that tag also because of what has happened, both on and off the pitch this season.

At this moment in time, Pochettino’s side are five points behind City in the table, who were beaten by Wolves last time out, but they are a further 13 points behind the current leaders.
