Tottenham Hotspur picked up an emphatic win to move up to third in the Premier League.
Tottenham fans could not praise Christian Eriksen high enough on Twitter after the playmaker’s fine performance in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s emphatic win away at Bournemouth on Sunday.
It was ultimately a brilliant display from Spurs given that they went into the contest off the back of the agonising defeat to Juventus at Wembley in midweek which dashed their Champions League hopes for this season, and then lost Harry Kane to injury when the Cherries were a goal ahead.
Once again, Son Heung-min stepped up when Spurs needed him as he scored twice, while Dele Alli and Serge Aurier also got on the scoresheet to secure the three points that lift Tottenham up to third in the Premier League table.
There were a number of hugely impressive performances from the Spurs players. But while the likes of Son and Alli may steal the headlines, there was a huge amount of praise on social media for Eriksen.
The Dane bagged yet another assist in the win as he set up Spurs’ third and he looked exceptional as he seemed to drop into a slightly deeper role to give the side more strength in midfield.
His versatility and creativity makes him so vital to Tottenham and he proved that yet again in the win at the Vitality Stadium, and the fans seem to be in awe of how good the midfielder has been.
