Even Tottenham Hotspur fans are admitting Arsenal’s reported deal for Nicolas Pepe is a good one.

Arsenal are reportedly set to sign Nicolas Pepe – and even some Tottenham Hotspur fans are admitting that it’s a good move by their North London rivals.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners have agreed a £72 million deal to sign the 24-year-old Lille winger, with BBC Sport reporting that the deal could be finalised within 48 hours.
If and when it materialises, it will trump the £65 million sum that Tottenham spent on bringing Tanguy Ndombele in from Lyon earlier this month.
Pepe, who scored 22 times in Ligue 1 last season, is one of the most exciting wide players on the circuit right now.
And some Spurs fans are acknowledging that this could be a fantastic signing for Arsenal.
This is definitely a good move for Arsenal if it happens, but Tottenham won’t be long stealing the limelight back from their bitter neighbours.
That is because Mauricio Pochettino’s side look set to pull off a brilliant double swoop for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon shortly and, as a bonus, Christian Eriksen could be staying too [The Sun].
All in all, it could be an outstanding summer of business for Arsenal – who also pulled off deals for Dani Ceballos and William Saliba this week – and Tottenham, but is it enough for Unai Emery’s side to cause a shift in power in North London? Time will tell.
