Tottenham Hotspur are back in Premier League action tonight as they take on Fulham – and their youngsters played on Tuesday.

Spurs’ Under-18’s played against Newport County in an FA Youth Cup tie, with an expectation that the would win with no trouble.

However, Newport took a stunning 2-0 lead, forcing Spurs to come from behind to eventually claim a 6-2 victory.

There is no doubting who the star of the show was, as striker Dane Scarlett scored five goals to send Spurs through.

Scarlett buried a fine header before equalising with a left-footed drive. A superb Scarlett back heel put Spurs ahead, with Roshaun Mathurin making it 4-2.

Scarlett converted a penalty he won himself to take his tally to four, and then flicked home a corner in second-half injury time to seal a 6-2 win.

The 16-year-old hit the headlines earlier this season by coming on in a Europa League clash with Ludogorets, and Spurs fans are understandably excited about his future.

Spurs fans noticed something in his goals though, with some spotting that Scarlett takes penalties exactly the same way as Harry Kane; a short run-up with short steps before smashing the ball.

Tottenham fans would no doubt love Scarlett to be another Kane, and seeing him take penalties in exactly the same way has sparked some excitement in the Spurs fanbase, as you can see below…
