Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming after Mauricio Pochettino claimed that he is ‘happy’ with the level of commitment Christian Eriksen has shown this season.
Amid Tottenham’s horror start to the season, Eriksen has been one of the players who has felt the wrath of the supporters, mainly because he asked to leave in the summer.
Whilst that didn’t happen, his performances this season have been pretty poor and he has looked like the shadow of the player that was once believed to be one of the top playmakers in the Premier League.
Despite Spurs fans being seemingly unhappy with the Dane, his manager is ‘happy’ with the player, as quoted by Football London.
Pochettino’s comments haven’t gone down too well with the Tottenham faithful who simply cannot understand what he’s getting at.
There are certain sections that think he has lost the plot, whilst others feel that he may not want to throw his player under the bus.
Either way, his comments have resulted in a very angry reaction from his own supporters, who clearly don’t agree with anything their manager is saying.
