Tottenham striker Janssen has endured a difficult loan spell with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen’s future in north London is just one of a number of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad that have doubts over their future at the club – and fans have discussed keeping the striker on Twitter.
Joining Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016 for a fee of £17million, the 23-year-old struggled to adapt to English football and managed just six goals in 38 league and cup appearances.
He failed to develop any kind of consistency or rhythm as Harry Kane’s back-up, and was shipped out on loan to Fenerbahce last summer with Fernando Llorente being bought to replace the Holland international.
But with Llorente struggling, Janssen’s age could be his saviour as he is a decade younger than his Spanish teammate. An ankle injury has limited Janssen to only 12 appearances in Turkey, though, scoring just three goals.
Tottenham fans were asked whether they would keep Janssen at the club, with the majority stating they would. Some are all for keeping Janssen, mainly due to his age, while others have different opinions.
Janssen has two years remaining on the four-year deal he signed in 2016, which the Daily Star claim is worth £25,000 a week.
One fan described Janssen as having “a lot of potential”.
