Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying a fine season but some new additions in January would be welcomed.
Tottenham Hotspur have one of the most exciting and talented squads in Europe, yet they are still a couple of players away from the full package, and it will be interesting to see who manager Mauricio Pochettino opts to sign in January.
Spurs have not always got it right when it comes to transfers, but the addition of Davinson Sanchez last summer shows they are not afraid to spend big if the right player comes along, and there are certainly one or two areas of the field that could do with additional numbers.
A box-to-box midfielder who can offer more support to Mousa Dembele would not go amiss, while it will be interesting to see what Tottenham do in terms of their striker options, with summer signing Fernando Llorente failing to impress thus far.
There is also the need for more width, even following the return from injury of Erik Lamela, but the problem for Tottenham is the type of players they want are rarely available midway through a campaign.
Tottenham are currently seventh in the league but that does not tell the whole story and one win could see them jump back into the top four if other results go their way.
