Tottenham Hotspur travel to Spotland on Sunday afternoon to face Rochdale in the fifth round of the FA Cup as they look to avoid a banana skin and book their place in the quarter finals – and fans want Lucas Moura to start.

Lucas, 25, made his debut for the north Londoners on Tuesday night as Spurs earned an excellent 2-2 draw against Italian champions Juventus in Turin in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.

Spurs go from the glamour and glitz of facing Juventus to facing League One’s rock-bottom side Rochdale as they look to continue fighting on three fronts, with Mauricio Pochettino likely to make a significant number of changes to his side.

Moura came off the bench to feature for literally one minute of normal time, replacing fellow South American attacker Erik Lamela, in what was his first appearance since completing a £25million move to north London from Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, fans are desperate to see their January recruit in action from the off in order to see their new star show what he is capable of in a Tottenham shirt.

One fan even claimed starting Moura would see the Brazilian “rip Rochdale apart”.
