Tottenham fans were left thrilled by Danny Rose’s performance for England against Switzerland and hope he is finally back to his best.
Rose made his return for Spurs 11 months ago after missing the previous eight months through injury.
Since then he has had a stop-start club career, failing to displace Wales international Ben Davies.
The one thing that has barely faltered is the faith of England boss Gareth Southgate, who picked him in the World Cup squad despite him starting only eight Premier League games last season.
Rose has only started one out four league games this season, a win against Manchester United.
After his man-of-the-match display in England’s 1-0 win over Switzerland, fans are calling for Rose to play at Wembley on Saturday morning against Liverpool.
Rose will have to be at his best to contain the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane but his confidence will be higher than ever after his performance last night.
