Davies started and finished the match for Tottenham at left-back.

Tottenham Hotspur kept their Champions League hopes alive with a last-gasp win over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night at Wembley – but fans have delivered a mixed response to Ben Davies’ display.
The 25-year-old started and finished the match at left-back as Harry Kane scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season to overcome Mark van Bommel’s side with a 2-1 win, after Luuk de Jong put PSV ahead.
Wales international Davies saw plenty of the ball on the left side of defence, with Spurs dominating possession in a bid to find the back of the net. But he failed to do much with it.
Indeed, the former Swansea City ace attempted to find Harry Kane in the box with a number of crosses, many of which failed to beat the first man or were overhit.

However, Davies’ persistence paid off as he delivered an inch-perfect cross onto the head of Kane, who saw his header creep past Jeroen Zoet via two deflections from PSV defenders.
A mixed night for Davies, then, and that is certainly mirrored in fans’ reaction after the match. Some are delighted with the left-back for the cross that set Kane up, but others are fuming that he was unable to do it throughout the match.
