Viergever made an excellent tackle during PSV’s draw with Inter, which helped Tottenham qualify.

PSV Eindhoven defender Nick Viergever’s unbelievable last-ditch, injury-time tackle on Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi saw Tottenham Hotspur qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League – and Tottenham fans want him signed.
The 29-year-old defender put in an excellent shift as the Dutch produced a superb display to pick up a point at the Giuseppe Meazza, frustrating Inter throughout the match.
Indeed, Mark van Bommel’s side went 1-0 up in the first half, thanks to Hirving Lozano’s header. Kwadwo Asamoah gave the ball away, allowing Steven Bergwijn to set up Mexico international Lozano.
Icardi finally found the back of the net with an excellent header, but it was the PSV defence who came out on top – including former Ajax and AZ Alkmaar stopper Viergever – as well as goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet.

Argentina striker Icardi was played through on goal but was quickly swarmed upon by the PSV defence, before Viergever produced a stunning challenge just before Icardi is to pull the trigger from 10 yards out. This was in the 94th minute.
Tottenham fans reacted to the tackle after BT Sport uploaded a short clip on their Twitter page (below), and many were delighted with the three-time Netherlands international. Some even suggested he could be a January recruit.
