Tottenham are reportedly close to signing Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier.

Tottenham Hotspur tied up two signings earlier today – and a third new addition may not be too far away, as Spurs target a deal for Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier.

Mauricio Pochettino first completed a reunion with Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga earlier today, before Spurs also announced that Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez has completed his move to North London, pending a work permit.

Having taken a while to get going in the transfer market, Spurs have their first two summer signings in through the door, with a new right back now next on Pochettino’s wish list.

Kyle Walker was sold to Manchester City earlier this summer, and whilst Kieran Trippier impressed last season and Kyle Walker-Peters showed potential against Newcastle United earlier this month, a replacement for Walker is now wanted.

According to reports from the London Evening Standard, Tottenham are pursuing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier, and hope to complete a deal worth just £23million for the Ivorian international.

Aurier, 24, has impressed for PSG since signing from Toulouse in 2014, but the arrival of Dani Alves means he is now third-choice at PSG behind the Brazilian and Thomas Meunier.

A move to North London could now be on the cards for Aurier, and Tottenham fans are ecstatic that he appears to be signing for a fraction of the cost Tottenham sold Walker for earlier this summer.

The Guardian reported that City paid around £50million to sign Walker earlier this summer, meaning that Aurier could be signing for Tottenham for half the price, with Spurs fans taking to Twitter to celebrate the rumoured deal for Aurier.

Fans praised Daniel Levy for signing Aurier in such a bargain deal, with many even feeling that he is actually better than Walker whilst arriving for much, much less than the deal Tottenham sold Walker for, hailing it as one of the deals of the summer.
