Many Tottenham Hotspur fans love Tanguy Ndombele, but managers seem to have a bit of a problem with him.
The midfielder is immensely talented, showing the ability to go past players for fun whilst being able to pass progressively through the lines.
However, managers have struggled to get the best out of him. Mauricio Pochettino had a bash, and Jose Mourinho never really seemed to get him.
Ndomble isn’t a number 10, and he’s not defensively sound enough to play in a holding midfield two. Even interim Tottenham boss Ryan Mason has preferred Giovani Lo Celso in recent games.
Now, Ndombele has suffered another blow. France have named their squad for the European Championships, and Ndombele isn’t included.
Even with 26 players – a bigger squad than in usual tournaments – Ndombele hasn’t made the cut for the French squad this summer.

Ndombele’s teammate Moussa Sissoko, who has played just one minute of Premier League action since Jose Mourinho’s exit, has been named in the squad though, with Didier Deschamps seemingly still a big fan.
Tottenham fans seemingly can’t believe this decision, taking to Twitter to laugh at Deschamps for picking Sissoko and not Ndombele.
Some just can’t believe it’s real, believing that Sissoko hasn’t done nearly enough this season to be picked ahead of Ndombele – even if Deschamps likes him…
